It prevents plasminogen activation by exogenous and endogenous activators, ensuring antihemorrhagic activity in various situations. It has low acute and chronic toxicity, is well absorbed orally, and has a longer-lasting effect compared to traditional hemostatics.

Overdosage symptoms of Tracid 650 are headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abnormal blood pressure, impaired vision, abnormal mental status, skin rashes, dizziness, and fits or seizures.
Take Tracid 650 as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine as a whole and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not take this medicine before your period has started as it will not work properly. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration, and frequency of Tracid 650 for you depending on age, weight, and disease conditions.
Tranexamic Acid reacts unfavorably with penicillin-containing solutions and thrombolytic medicines like Streptokinase. Concurrent use of estrogen-containing medicines may increase thrombus risk. Avoid direct combination with whole blood during transfusion.
Hypersensitivity to Tranexamic Acid, thromboembolic disease, arterial and venous thrombosis, endocavitary hemorrhages, and severe renal failure.
Avoid Tranexamic Acid during known or suspected pregnancy due to unclear fetal effects. It is excreted in breast milk but unlikely to cause antifibrinolytic effects in the infant.
Initiate prophylactic treatment 24 hours before surgery and continue for 3-4 days afterward. Hemorrhage treatment should last for at least 24 hours after symptoms subside. Adjust doses for hematuria and avoid in severe renal impairment.
